Memo Text

The guiding principles of personal competency involve teaching and facilitating skills that students and adults need to be successful at home, school, workplace and in life.  When students and adults possess personal competencies they are self and socially aware, and have the ability to manage themselves both independently and while interacting with others.  They can listen to perspectives of others, use positive communication, show awareness of cultural issues and differences, set and achieve goals, and take personal responsibility for their learning.

The Arkansas Department of Education is conducting a brief survey around personal competencies and schools.  Participation in this survey should take 3 - 5 minutes and we encourage many educators and school personnel to respond to the survey.

Survey will close on May 26, 2017.
