ATTENTION:    SUPERINTENDENTS, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENTS, DISTRICT CHILD NUTRITION DIRECTORS, BUSINESS MANAGERS

Federal codes 7CFR 210 and 250 require that School Food Authorities (SFAs) who have outsourced the child nutrition program through any program including a Food Management Company, Consulting Contract, or a Vended Meal Contract must manage the contract throughout the school year.  Arkansas Department of Education Child Nutrition Unit will provide training on these requirements.  Persons attending these trainings should be those who are responsible for monitoring the contracts within the SFA.

Training will focus on areas that must have documented monitoring throughout the school year.  Checklists have been developed to assist in the process.

Participating districts with specific questions should bring their contracts and questions.  Assistance for individual contracts will be available at the end of the presentation.

Trainings will begin at 10:00 and conclude no later than 12:00.  Each educational cooperative hosting the training has registration set up on escworks.  Registration may be completed electronically or by emailing Susie Ward.

The trainings will be held at the following locations:
