ATTENTION:  CO-OP DIRECTORS, CHILD NUTRITION DIRECTORS, CHILD NUTRITION MANAGERS

The Arkansas Department of Education, Child Nutrition Unit invites you to be a part of the Team Up for School Nutrition Success experience!

Child Nutrition Directors and Managers from across the state are coming together to hear from and work with experienced and trained mentors. These mentors serve as Child Nutrition Directors and Managers in schools of all sizes across Arkansas, and they will share their best practices for a variety of topics.  Participants will be able to network and problem-solve in small-group and large-group settings.

Whether a new director/manager, a seasoned director/manager, or somewhere in the middle, you can gain valuable insight from the successes of others in the state, and you can brainstorm solutions that fit your district for common school foodservice barriers.

Following the skilled-helper model, all participants will leave this training with a specific action plan for moving their Child Nutrition Programs forward.

The Retreat will be conducted at the Arkansas 4-H Center in Little Rock (Ferndale) on April 24th and 25th.  A tentative agenda is attached.

Lodging (single occupancy) and meals will be provided at no cost to the district.  Participants will be responsible for mileage.  Conference materials will be provided.

Registration is limited to sixty participants, and spots are reserved on a first-come first-served basis.

Register today by completing and returning the attached form to:

Kelly Doppelhammer at kelly.doppelhammer@arkansas.gov

Please contact Stephanie Alsbrook or Vicki Hill at (501) 324-9502 for more information.
