Memo Text

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) in conjunction with the Technology Information Conference for Administrative Leadership (TICAL) is hosting the Sixth Annual Data & Reporting Conference on July 19 and 20, 2018, at the Hot Springs Convention Center located at 134 Convention Blvd, Hot Springs, AR. The theme for this year’s conference is “Strong Data, Strong Schools” and will include sessions related to various data collections involving state reporting for schools, districts and co-ops.  The conference will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

It is important for all state reporting coordinators, as well as any staff members who are involved in data entry and state reporting (i.e. bookkeepers, curriculum coordinators, administrators, LEA supervisors, early childhood directors, data entry personnel, student trainers) and anyone interested in TICAL sessions which are centered around technology in the classroom should attend this conference.  Sessions will include but are not limited to course approval, course code management, licensure exceptions, digital learning (formerly distance learning), finance reporting, Tier I training, student reporting, special education, bus transportation and numerous sessions related specifically to TICAL.

The conference pre-registration price is $125 per person (plus processing fee) and includes snacks and lunch both days. If you have special dietary needs, please contact Kim Dupens.  All attendees should pre-register online and make payment through Eventbrite using a card credit.  To register go to this link:   The pre-registration window will close on July 6, 2018.  Refunds will not be granted.

After completing the registration process with Eventbrite, you will receive an email from Eventbrite that contains your tickets for the conference.  Please print the tickets as you will need to register at the venue. There will also be an email from prompting registrants to create an account on the SCHED website. If the email does not come through to your inbox, please check the junk or spam folder. SCHED allows users to register for individual conference sessions and keep track of their daily schedule. SCHED can be accessed online from the event website or via the mobile app for Android & iOS.  To see a copy of the conference agenda and session descriptions go to the conference site at

On-site registration will be available, with a cost of $150 payable by check or money order only made out to the Arkansas Dept of Education.  Be advised that sessions maybe full or close to capacity for those at on-site registration.
