All schools are invited to participate in a webinar at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, to learn more about the School Quality and Student Success (SQSS) indicator in the Arkansas ESSA Plan. Dr. Denise Airola and the ADE team will present information regarding the calculation of the SQSS indicator in the ESSA School Index and how to read school reports. Questions may be submitted during the webinar or by posting questions to https://goo.gl/forms/tuPJGntUClJ00mNj1. Questions from the webinar will be developed into a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document that will be posted on the Arkansas Department of Education’s ESSA webpage.
Prior to the webinar on April 6, 2018, participants should review the draft school reports and the 2017 final business rules for calculating the ESSA School Index.
Draft school reports containing information used in the ESSA School Index can be accessed at the ADE Accountability Reports Center (Triand login required) https://adedata.arkansas.gov/arc. The 2017 Final Business Rules for Calculating the ESSA School Index Scores (PDF) is available on the ADE website at http://www.arkansased.gov/divisions/public-school-accountability/every-student-succeeds-act-essa/informational-documents.
