Memo Text

National School Lunch Week (NSLW) is set for October 15-19, 2018.  The theme this year is “School Lunch: Lots 2 Love.”  The theme was designed to help Child Nutrition Directors share stories of what has made the National School Lunch (NSLP) successful within their districts.

The NSLP serves more than 30 million students every day nationwide each year.  This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate and share with school administrators, school board members, faculty, students, district employees, and community members the many important aspects of the National School Lunch Program.

Recognizing NSLW in your district helps you:

  • Increase student participation
  •  Spread the positive message to parents, teachers, and administrators that healthy delicious lunches are served at school
  •  Earn media coverage from local papers, TV stations, radio, and social media outlets
  •  Bring positive attention to the hard working individuals working in school cafeterias

If the designated dates do not work for your district you can celebrate NSLW at any time!
