Memo Text

The Arkansas Department of Education is pleased to announce the second year of the NO LIMITS campaign to promote available opportunities through taking the ACT® college entrance exam. The campaign encourages Arkansas high school students to utilize ACT resources to prepare for the exam and to take the ACT multiple times, which can result in increased opportunities for scholarships and admission to colleges, universities and trade schools. NO LIMITS year two also includes specialized materials for educators to use with their students.

In January, every high school counselor will receive a packet containing the NO LIMITS campaign material.  Each Education Service Cooperative will have the materials and will assist in getting the materials to all high school counselors. The packet contains informational posters, resources to support students taking The ACT and, new this year, pencils for every junior taking the ACT.  High school staff are encouraged to access the teacher friendly lesson plans and presentations on the ADE webpage given below.

For students, the NO LIMITS campaign includes a short informational video, as well as a music video featuring Arkansas students who highlight five reasons why taking the ACT is important. All high schools are expected to show the video to all juniors prior to taking the exam in February. For teachers, the NO LIMITS campaign includes conversational videos with Arkansas educators focusing on five questions designed to assist teachers with conversations to encourage students to take the ACT.  Digital resources can be found at
