Memo Text

ACT Aspire is recruiting Arkansas educators in grades three through eight to participate in a five-day item writing workshop. The workshop will take place in Iowa City, Iowa, September 23-27, 2019.

During the workshop, participants representing four content domains (English, mathematics, reading, and science) will work individually and collaboratively to develop a pool of items that will be used on upcoming ACT Aspire classroom assessments.

Educators must have permission from their district supervisors to attend the workshop prior to applying.  Those who are chosen will be expected to complete a secure online training (two to four hours in length) and participate in a one-hour Q & A webinar in advance of the Iowa meeting.
