K-2 RISE Academy Train the Trainer (TOT) Opportunity


There are ten (10) available spots left in the RISE Academy TOT for Cohort 4 beginning October 15, 2019. Successful completion of all components of this training will allow the participant to conduct K-2 RISE Academy training for their district. Please note, the maximum number of trainers that any district may train is 4.


Required components include:

            Attendance of all 14 days of training (See attached Information sheet for dates and location)

            Passing the LETRS TOT Assessment

            LETRS Symposium Videos (necessary to maintain certification)


The cost is $1200 which includes:

            14 days of training

            Training books and materials

            LETRS Symposium membership for 1 year

            Presentation Kit 

            1 Equipped for Reading Success Book

            1 Set of texts for District Training (25 LETRS and 25 Equipped Reading for Success)



            Deadline October 10th

            Complete the MOU and submit to Sandy Shepard (attached)


If your district is interested in having district personnel provide the state's RISE Academy within your district, please contact Sandy Shepard by email (sandy.shepard@dawson.esc) no later than October 10th. Spots will be filled based on availability and number of teachers needing proficiency in the Science of Reading. Travel (mileage, hotels, food, etc.) and additional expenses to attend the TOT Training are the responsibility of the district. Additional texts as well as Symposium membership beyond the first year are the responsibility of the district.
