The Office of Gifted & Talented and Advanced Placement previously maintained an Advanced Placement (AP) and Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) training records database and shared records with school districts each fall. This database has experienced increasing issues over the past several years and was retired at the end of 2018-19 school year. One of the functions of this database was transmitting information to the Standards for Accreditation (SFA) system. Districts will now be responsible for inputting expiration dates for AP teacher training and expiration dates for AP teacher ATP’s into eSchool. Districts will also be responsible for maintaining onsite verification of AP and Pre-AP teacher training and ATP approvals.
College Board created a new online system for ordering Advanced Placement exams. Districts should note that exam orders are now due on November 15 and submit orders by that deadline to avoid late ordering fees from College Board.
