The Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators (AAEA) are offering a program to support first year principals who have previously completed the Beginning Administrator Induction program. Participation in the First Year Principal Support Program is voluntary for the 2020-2021 school year.  A maximum of 25 participants will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. 

 

Participants will be placed into role alike groups with an experienced master designated principal who will meet virtually each month.  Additionally, an optional face-to-face session will be provided.

 

Induction will include:

Access to the Survive and Thrive Principal Module

Monthly group advisory sessions conducted virtually

Optional Mid-Year Focus Topic (Spring, Face to Face)

Access to a network of specialized Advisors

Completion of two Microcredentials

 

Qualifying principals interested in participating may click the link below to access the registry.  Upon completion of this support program, participants will be granted automatic acceptance into the Year 1 Master Principal Program provided through the Arkansas Leadership Academy (ALA).
