  • For renewal before August, Professional Development may be uploaded in a PDF document or you may choose to let your license renew automatically, in August when the district reports Professional Development to APSCN.

    • When choosing the option to renew automatically, applicants must have completed the required professional development for the 2012-2013 (60 hrs), 2013-2014 (60 hrs), 2014-2015 (36 hrs), 2015-2016 (36 hrs), and 2016-2017 (36 hrs) school years.

  • The $75.00 licensure renewal fee must be made.  This fee may be paid on-line by choosing “I will pay online now“ or if your district will be paying the fee, choose “my district will pay my fee.”   Personal checks will not be accepted for payment of licensure fees.  School districts wishing to pay the licensure fees for their educators may submit a school district warrant covering the required fees.  School districts will also need to submit a listing of all teachers being covered by the warrant along with the last four digits of their social security number or CID number as listed in AELS.

  • If the district will not be paying the licensure fee and educators are unable to pay on-line by credit or debit card, a paper application must be submitted.  Educators may submit the required licensure fee in the form of a money order or cashier’s check made payable to the Arkansas Department of Education.  Application, payment, and verification of professional development must be sent to:  Office of Educator Licensure, four Capitol Mall, Room 106B, Little Rock, AR 72201.
