Memo Text

The Arkansas Department of Education: Division of Elementary and Secondary Education is pleased to announce the third year of the NO LIMITS campaign to promote available opportunities through taking the ACT® college entrance exam. The campaign encourages Arkansas high school students to utilize ACT resources to prepare for the exam and to take the ACT multiple times, which can result in increased opportunities for scholarships and admission to colleges, universities and trade schools. NO LIMITS year three also includes specialized materials for schools to use with multiple stakeholders, including parents, students, and educators.

A resource page that includes digital links that coordinated with the individual modules of the NO LIMITS PowerPoint is available HEREHigh school staff are specifically encouraged to access the resource page and the ADE: DESE ACT web page.  The individual PowerPoint modules included in the resource page can be used with students in future planning, during advisory periods, and in conjunction with Student Success Plans. Education Service Cooperatives have ACT pencils for every junior taking the ACT.  Districts are encouraged to partner with cooperatives to receive these materials.

For students, the NO LIMITS campaign includes available ACT resources, as well as a music video featuring Arkansas students who highlight five reasons why taking the ACT is important.  All high schools are encouraged to show the video to all juniors prior to taking the exam in February or March. For teachers, the NO LIMITS campaign includes resources that educators can use with their students in future planning and in conversations to encourage students to take the ACT.
